16.01.2006. Another big break since I last refreshed. Well, many things happened. And I've been mostly working my ass off. Firstly, I'm still working in theatre. Let's say that things are under control there. This band I was telling you about, came to a wall, and couldn't function anymore. Actually, the band was doing fine, but the manager (she) didn't. There was a lot of imaginary bad energy, and after a very succesfull concert as a pre-band to Joe Cocker in famous Arena in Pula in front of around 5000 people, we unfortunatelly separated. The drummer stayed and formed a new band for the singer which I'm really sorry I'm not working with anymore. BUT, as all bad comes with good, the bass player invited me to play with 2 fine ladies, sisters Husar, who started first r&b band here, Divas. Working with them, after the bad story, was relaxing, exciting, honest and friendly. I couldn't be more proud. At the time I'm writing this, new single is being made, and I am active part of it, since I wrote some chords and played piano in the studio. My first attempts in real studio, this is very exciting time for me. On the other hand, I started to be 'regular second' keyboard player for some other known singers in Zagreb, my quartet project is just in birth phase, AND I started to work in a studio! New nice (let's say underground) studio called Soungcage, where I mostly do the mixing, and the other two guys produce and record. Sounds pretty good, I'd say very good in terms of lately fudged up Croatian sound. Working atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant, and I'm happy to be a part of the team. I still make music at home, but now I do it very roughly, since I'm waiting a real band to play it live finaly! I sincerely hope that till end of the summer, I will have mastered CD ready to sweap you off your feet :) Hey, thanks for visiting! 14.06.2005 Now is the time that everybody eagerly awaits summer. Actually, not summer, but free time which mostly everyone will spend at the seaside. Including me, I have 2 more weeks left, and then off to south. I can't find enough simpatetic words for those who will stay behind, and spend the summer in Zagreb, ugh :) Anyhow, last few months have been busy busy. This band I was telling you about finaly flew high, the singer released a CD, and we started playing more seriously. Natali Dizdar is her name, and I hope for many years of great music with her. Email is always open. Till next time... take care 04.03.2005 Woah... long time. And the time just flies. I was busy as hell. Running all over the place. The plans started to form shapes, so now I basically know what will I do, and chose only things that I have time and love to do. I just had a solo gig with one wonderful young female singer. She has a voice of an angel, I really love to play with her. We also work together in a refreshed band, which tends to hard soul funk jazz, and it started to sound serious. I hope we will have an open gig soon. The energy in a band is irreplacable, I cannot see myself not having a band. The adrenalin on the stage, the groove of 5, feels like 'we' are really here for something bigger than just surviving. One guy from England contacted me thanks to this homepage. He has some interesting ideas, and I'm thankful that I kept this page (sort of) updated. So I will keep this page alive, especially after I had 3000th visitor the other day :) It is nice feeling, beeing recognized. But this is only the begining, I have a lot planned, future looks bright :) Ah, also, one guy from Sweden took tune 'Funky Mandolin' for use in his independent shortfilm. That was nice too. I stil haven't seen it, but I hope it's cool. Anyway, thanks for dropping by! Till next time! Respect 22.11.2004 It's been a long time since the last time. I hope not many of you gave up on me :) The sad event in the last headline wasn't easy to put aside. It's still hard. I didn't do much music lately, but I am working a lot. Mostly on my bands, that has grown to number 3. Yes, I became a member of 3 bands. One is still the old one, my band, which is goin' slowly right now. And that band is gonna play with our new young hope, that is gonna be unrevealed untill the first open gig. I hope it works out. And the drummer from the band invites me to his 2 jazz bands, one easy listening standars, and other hard bop jazz band. I always wanted to play in a jazz band, but I'm still affraid to. I respect jazz and it's gigants far to much to just go in and do it. Mentaly prepared I have to be, into the light my head I shall turn :) Anyways, long story short, in past 2 months there has been great energy involved, lot of great things could happen. I pray for some of them to come true. And I sure hope that the next time I update this page, I will be able to offer you some new piece of music. Take care 30.09.2004 
Today is one month that tragedy happened. 30.08. the road took another 4 lives. Among 4 friends, was my dear friend, whoom I spent my childhood with. Luka was a loving kid, always smiling, sharing his positivity to the people around him. He worked hard and honestly, helping his hard working family. Died at age of 21. There is no words I can describe the sadness. Luka, my brother, we will miss you. May God be with you. Rest in peace 27.09.2004 Loooong time no hear! It was a hot summer. I kinda tossed the page at a side, actually I didn't do much music lately. I was recharging my batteries after unloading bunch of ideas just before summer, as you can see below. But lot of new and exciting things are happening, most important, my band is looking good, sounding even better, and we are getting ready to funk the city! We are working with a young new hot soul singer, who I'm going to keep in secret for next few days ;) I'm only gonna tell you that I think that I couldn't have better singer than her. Really! Anyhow, I'm back home in Zagreb, and started doing music again. There's an interesting article about making sampled music illegal at DownhillBattle where you can have a listen to my 30sec Funky Protest, for which sounds are made intirely from this sample. I wanted to post my new song I did for todays update, but my FTP server is not in a mood last few days, I don't know whats happening, won't let me update. Ah well... So, nice things happening, and if you are in Zagreb, you will soon know of a new band grooving the funk soul hiphop grooves :) Hope some of you will be able to come. Stay tuned for the 'revelation' of a young soulsinger, and announciation of the gigs... Respect! 08.07.2004 A lot happened last month. Most important, the show I did the music for, finaly came out. People liked the music very much, I got many burning CD wishes. I'm thinking of even publishing it. I ended up with almost 1 hour of music, which is quite a lot for theatre. So glad, now we wait for the next step. And until we wait, theres a new song I did, again for the KVR competition. This one is hard symphony metal (I think :). Next week I'm going back home on a long summer vacation. Can't wait, doing nothing, laying in the sun, the sea, drinking cocktails, mmm... But I will take my 'studio' with me, ready for new ideas! I just bought new KRK active monitors, which will hopefuly make my mixes even better :) Thats kinda all I can remember for now. Take care, and enjoy the summer!
